It’s 2019 Already? What?

It’s surprising how long this past year has felt and yet how quickly the last few months of 2018 have flown by. Here we are, though. A brand new year and a new set of goals to look towards. I don’t usually do the resolution thing. Normally, I like to plan out some achievable things and set some high reaching goals and go from there. They are never hard and fast resolutions, though. So far, I’m looking to increase my social activity with my comics peers. There’s a lovely weekly meet up that happens at my favourite comic book shop, Books With Pictures. I’ve gone a couple of times now and while my work schedule runs over the start time, I’m still able to swing by for an hour to work on scripts and to hang out with fellow artists and writers. It’s been nice. I’m looking forward to building up more of a connection to my Portland comic folks.

Currently, I’m working on a couple of scripts for anthologies. I’m hoping to get into more and more of those as they come up. Plus, I’m digging the practice. There’s a few stories in the works and I hope to be able to share more with you soon. In the meantime here’s some things I’m totally into lately.

Comics I’m Reading:

Bitter Root by David Walker, Chuck Brown, and Sanford Greene
Errand Boys by D.J. Kirkbride and Nikos Koutsis
Domino by Gail Simone and David Baldeon
Mr. and Mrs. X by Kelly Thompson and Oscar Bazaldua

Some Fun Stuff:

Lookit the amazing commissions I received from Valentine Barker! I love Carnage and Venom, so these are absolutely perfect!
